All of Our Treatments
Acupuncture
Acupuncture has been practiced in China and other Asian countries for thousands of years. Acupuncture involves stimulating specific points on the body. This is most often done by inserting thin needles through the skin, to cause a change in the physical functions of the body.
Herbal Medicine Consultation
Herbal medicine can have a strong supplementing effect, providing the body with the energy it needs to heal itself, from the inside out. It is a sophisticated empirical science, developed and fine-tuned over centuries of usage.
Cupping
cupping is used primarily to treat respiratory conditions such as bronchitis, asthma, and congestion; arthritis; gastrointestinal disorders; and certain types of pain. Some practitioners also use cupping to treat depression and reduce swelling.
Gua Sha
is most commonly used to treat pain, it can also be utilized by TCM clinicians to address conditions such as asthma, bronchitis, colds, flu, fever, heatstroke, fibromyalgia, strains, sprains, and muscle spasms.
Moxa
useful and so important for people's treatments that I often send my patients home with moxa poles, and instructions on how to use it themselves. Just by deeply warming certain points for a few minutes per day can do wonders for warming qi, increasing circulation and boosting immunity.
Ear Seeds
incorporated into a regular acupuncture treatment. In addition to using acupuncture points on the rest of the body, your acupuncturist may select a few ear acupuncture points that they feel will be helpful for your particular condition.
Feet Bath
Anyone who suffers from allergies, swollen joints, rashes, arthritis, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s, blotched complexions, pimples, dark circles, Fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue or high blood pressure will benefit from this non-invasive and therapeutic treatment.
Lifestyle Counseling
An evaluation of lifestyle and nutritional diet will be made at your first visit. The evaluation allows the acupuncturist to determine the best course of treatment and recommend diet or lifestyle changes as necessary.
What Patients Say
HOW IT WORKS
At the root of traditional Chinese medicine is the belief that the individual (microcosm) is viewed as an integral part of the forces of nature (macrocosm). By careful observation of nature, Taoist sages were able to perceive patterns common to both the external environment and the internal climate of the human body. Over a period of thousands of years, the cumulative observations of sages all over China led to an intricate system of diagnosis and healing.
Root Cause Diagnosis
Chinese Medicine tracks down the root cause of your health issues rather than treating the symptoms. By identifying key areas to watch carefully, you can begin to improve your health and body from the inside out.
Acupuncture, Cupping ...
Young Qi offers all the typical Chinese Medicine treatment services, such as acupuncture, tui-na (acupressure), herbal formulas, cupping, and more. All services are done in-house.
Classical Chinese Medicine
Classical Chinese Medicine emphasizes the balancing of all the body functions to maintain health, complimenting the Western medicine approach, which focuses on individual organs.
